Amtrak Heritage Crew Sleeper Dormitory Cars

This page was last updated on May 23, 2010.

These 25 cars were re-assigned from regular sleeper service, to Amtrak crew sleeper dormitory service in about 1982; removed from service in 2003-2007. In late 2006 Amtrak began using space in Viewliners for crew members, and the remaining cars in this series were removed from service.

The 14 former Union Pacific "Pacific" cars were built by Budd in 1949-1950.
