Fleet Data

By a review of available records, Union Pacific and its subsidiaries owned:

Retirement dates shown are taken from available equipment records, which do not include dates after 1986.

Retirement Dates

Retirement dates after 1985-1986 are not shown in these roster listings, which use UP's equipment record ledger book as the major source. It was in that time period that UP began using computer records. More research is needed to find dates after 1985-1986. Where retirement dates, "Month Vacated," are illegible in the equipment record, other sources have been consulted to derive the retirement date.

Capacity

The Capacity column shown in these roster listings is the maximum lifting capacity for each crane or derrick, with outriggers (where equipped) fully extended.
